Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs) are neurodevelopmental conditions that affect how individuals acquire and use academic skills such as reading, writing, or mathematics. Early identification can help prevent unnecessary distress and unlock more effective support both at school and home.
Educational Assessments are available for school-age children through to adulthood (ages 6+)
At Strive Hive, educational assessments can involve:
- Parent Interviews and Developmental History
- Review of school reports and previous testing
- Cognitive Assessment
- Tests of Academic Achievement
- Comprehensive Behavioural Assessment (parent, teacher and/or self-report questionnaires)
- Comprehensive Psychological Report
During the initial interview with your practitioner, the appropriateness of a comprehensive assessment can be discussed and a suitable assessment package recommended. Rates for assessments will be confirmed by administration once the lead practitioner has determined specific inclusions.
